Jones Has Events for All-Ages on Tap

ELIZABETHTOWN – Looking to offer events for residents of all ages, Rep. Tom Jones (R-Lancaster/Lebanon) will host two exciting series of free events – one for children and the other for adults starting in February.

“Reaching residents of all ages has been a goal of mine since being blessed to serve the people of the district,” Jones said. “These two series of events will help get residents more engaged in the government while teaching them more about our nation’s founding principles.”

Starting Monday, Feb. 10, Jones will host Kid Patriot Songs & Storytime sessions from 10-11 a.m. at his office, 222. S. Market St., Suite 103, Elizabethtown. Kid Patriot Songs & Storytime is geared toward pre-school through second grade-aged children. Siblings are welcome. The classes will feature America-themed songs, stories and activities and will be held on April 14 and May 12. A parent or guardian must be present during the class. Jones will also offer Constitution Alive!, a free six-week video series on the Constitution, for adults. During the classes attendees will discover the importance of studying, understanding and upholding the timeless principles of our nation’s forefathers. They will also gain an awareness of what our founders risked upholding the documents they created and learn what we can do to honor the sacrifices they made.
