Jones Announces Funding for Elizabethtown Sewer Project

April 23, 2025

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority (PENNVEST) approved a $8.85 million low-interest loan to Elizabethtown for a sewer improvement project, Rep. Tom Jones (R-Lancaster/Lebanon) announced today.

The project calls for the replacement of approximately 8,500 feet of pipe, realigning various sanitary sewer main segments to improve sewer flow, rerouting sewer to redirect flow and eliminating the existing inverted siphon.

“This low-interest loan will help improve the sewer system that residents of Elizabethtown rely on daily,” Jones said. “Updating infrastructure is an investment in the future and a benefit to the community. I thank PENNVEST officials for recognizing the importance of this project.”

PENNVEST is an independent state agency that provides financial assistance for sewer, storm water and drinking water projects in communities across the Commonwealth.
